The International Federation of Green Crescents was established in 2015. The main aim of this federation is to gather International Federation of Green Crescents already established in other countries, under a new umbrella organization based in Istanbul, Turkey.

Green Crescent establishment works were started in 22 countries within the framework of international organization works started in 2013 and representatives have been contacted regarding establishment in many other countries.
